How it works
You hand us The List. We hand you receipts.
Three things carry every CareBird membership. You'll see all three from your first week.
The Household Map
Everyone and everything we need to know. People, providers, pharmacies, accounts, preferences and the things Mom has asked us never to do.
Built with you in the first two weeks, kept current after that.
The Standing Plan
The recurring work, on a calendar. Checkups, refills, renewals, seasonal chores. We schedule the next one before the last one closes.
You approve it. We run it.
The Done Ledger
A running record of what happened. Every line says what was done, who did it and what proves it.
Shared with the family members you choose.
The status ladder
Four words, always the same.
You never have to decode an update. Every task sits on one of four rungs.
Sent
We reached out. Nobody has answered yet.
Requested
A provider has the request and is working on it.
Confirmed
There's a date, a time and a name.
Completed
It happened, and we name the proof.
When something falls off the ladder, it says so plainly. Declined, cancelled, no-show or no provider found, with what we're trying next.
The people
A named care lead, and a backup.
Your care lead knows your family by name and replies the same business day. When they're out, your backup already knows the file.
AI agents do the legwork. They chase hold music, compare quotes and fill in forms. They always say they're AI, and they never talk to Mom.
Who decides
Mom decides.
CareBird runs logistics, not lives. We don't give medical advice, and we never overrule the person the list is for. When a question needs a clinician, we route it to one.
Your family chooses who sees what.
Questions
The short answers.
Do I have to live near my parent?
No. Most of our members don't.
What won't you do?
Medical decisions, emergencies and anything Mom hasn't agreed to. For an emergency, call 911.
What happens to our information?
It's used to run your list and nothing else. We never sell it, and we never use it to train models.
Can my siblings see the ledger?
If you invite them. Each person sees what you choose to share.
